I’m CLT Check-in about everyone else’s experience with flying out of Charlotte. The airport can get pretty busy, and I’ve found that doing a little preparation beforehand makes the whole process much easier.
I usually recommend checking in online before heading to the airport. If you only have a carry-on, this can make things especially simple since you can often go straight toward security. If you have checked luggage, you’ll still need to stop at the airline’s baggage drop area.
I also think arriving early makes a big difference. Even when check-in is quick, security lines can take longer than expected, particularly during weekends, holidays, or other busy travel periods.
Another thing I’ve learned is to keep your ID and boarding pass somewhere convenient. Having to search through your bag at every step can be frustrating when you’re already trying to keep track of your flight.
