The MPA (Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore) recognises the value of harbour boat crews in supporting port operations in Singapore. The harbour craft sector offers transportation, cargo operations, and refuelling services, as well as supplies to ships at the port. Having said that, the MPA has been assisting harbour craft work license holders in a lot of circumstances with crew changes and disembarkation requests. The MPA Singapore crew change procedure has been improved along the way to ensure the safety of crew members and to allow crew to perform their onboard jobs in the safest possible manner.
