A literature review is a critical evaluation of previous studies that forms the basis of your dissertation. Find reliable sources first, such as books, scholarly databases, and peer-reviewed journals. To emphasize the development of concepts, arrange the review according to themes or chronological order. Analyze and contrast results, highlighting any gaps that your study will fill. Make sure the goals of your dissertation are directly related to your review. To uphold academic integrity, use appropriate citation formats such as APA or MLA. Finally, wrap up by summarizing the most important findings and how they support the direction of your study. A well-written literature review gives your study context in addition to showcasing your expertise.
