Fildena Professional is a Sildenafil Citrate-based medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It contains the same active ingredient as Viagra (Sildenafil), but it is designed as a sublingual (dissolvable) tablet, which allows for faster absorption and quicker onset of action compared to regular tablets. However, there are specific groups of people who should be especially aware of the potential risks and side effects associated with Fildena Professional: 1. Men with Cardiovascular Conditions: Fildena Professional can lower blood pressure, which might be dangerous for people with existing heart disease, low blood pressure, or those with a history of heart attacks or strokes. It is crucial for men with any cardiovascular conditions to consult with their doctor before using Fildena Professional. Combining Fildena with other medications for heart conditions, especially nitrates (used for chest pain), can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure, leading to fainting, heart attack, or stroke. 2. People Taking Nitrate Medications: Fildena Professional should never be taken in conjunction with nitrate medications (e.g., nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate, etc.), which are used to treat angina (chest pain) or other heart problems. Combining Sildenafil with nitrates can cause a severe and rapid drop in blood pressure, which could be life-threatening. If you are prescribed nitrates or any nitric oxide-releasing medications, it is important to avoid Fildena Professional. 3. Men with Severe Liver or Kidney Problems: Fildena Professional is metabolized in the liver and excreted through the kidneys, so men with severe liver or kidney disease should exercise caution. These individuals may not process the drug effectively, leading to an increased risk of side effects and Sildenafil accumulation in the body. Lower doses or alternative treatments may be necessary for individuals with liver or kidney issues, and a healthcare provider should be consulted before using the medication. 4. Individuals with Eye Disorders: Fildena Professional (and other PDE5 inhibitors, including Viagra) can cause visual disturbances, such as blurred vision, blue-tinted vision, or temporary vision loss in rare cases. This is more of a concern for those with pre-existing eye conditions. People with conditions like retinitis pigmentosa (a rare hereditary eye disease) or other vision problems should be cautious about taking Fildena Professional, as Sildenafil may exacerbate these issues. In some rare cases, there have been reports of non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), a condition that affects blood flow to the optic nerve and can lead to vision loss. 5. Men with a History of Priapism or Penile Deformities: Men with a history of priapism (a prolonged, painful erection lasting more than 4 hours) or penile deformities (such as Peyronie's disease) should be careful with Fildena Professional. Using PDE5 inhibitors like Sildenafil may increase the risk of priapism, which requires immediate medical attention. If an erection lasts longer than 4 hours, it can cause permanent damage to the penis. If you have a history of these conditions, talk to your doctor before using Fildena Professional.
