Cenforce D is a dual-action medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) and premature ejaculation (PE). It contains sildenafil citrate (100 mg) and dapoxetine (60 mg). Sildenafil improves blood flow to the penis, while dapoxetine, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), helps delay ejaculation. Both components rely on healthy cardiovascular and nervous system function—systems that can be negatively affected by smoking.
Impact of Smoking on Cenforce D Effectiveness
Smoking contributes to vascular damage, reduces nitric oxide availability, and impairs blood circulation—factors that directly counteract how sildenafil works. Long-term smoking can cause arterial stiffness and restrict blood flow to the penis, potentially reducing the effectiveness of CENFORCE D.
Additionally, smoking may interfere with drug metabolism in the liver, which could alter the blood levels of both sildenafil and dapoxetine, leading to weaker results or heightened side effects.
Worsened Side Effects
Smoking may also increase the risk of certain side effects such as dizziness, high blood pressure, and heart strain, especially when combined with sildenafil.
While Cenforce D can still be effective in smokers, its efficacy may be reduced. Quitting smoking can significantly improve sexual health and enhance the effectiveness of ED treatments like Cenforce D.
