Hi community! I’ve slowly started replacing appliances and fixtures in my flat with more efficient ones. I began with ceiling fans, swapping out old wobbling ones for newer, quieter models. It’s made evenings much more comfortable, especially without turning on the air conditioner. For the master bedroom, I installed a kdk ceiling fan with remote control. It has multiple speed settings and a built-in light, which saved me the trouble of installing a separate fixture. KDK fans have been around forever, and I can see why—they’re powerful yet discreet. Next, I focused on lighting. I replaced all old bulbs with led lights. I chose warm tones for bedrooms and cool whites for the kitchen and study. The overall effect is cozy yet functional, and I love that my electricity usage has already gone down. Best of all, I used the climate voucher 2024 for part of these upgrades. I found out that several fan and lighting retailers in Singapore accept it, so I made a list and visited a couple before choosing. It’s a great way to encourage eco-friendly upgrades without breaking the bank.
