Avana 100 mg, which contains the active ingredient Avanafil, is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor used primarily for treating erectile dysfunction. Avana 100 mg lowers blood pressure because it works by increasing nitric oxide activity in the blood vessels. Nitric oxide relaxes and widens the smooth muscles of the blood vessels, leading to vasodilation. As the blood vessels expand, resistance within the circulatory system decreases, resulting in a reduction in blood pressure. While this effect is generally mild in healthy individuals, it can become significant in those taking nitrates, antihypertensives, or with underlying cardiovascular problems. This is why doctors advise caution when prescribing Avana 100 mg to patients with heart disease or low blood pressure, as combining it with other vasodilators can cause dangerous drops in blood pressure.
