Eriacta 100 Mg, which contains sildenafil citrate, can interact with several medications, and these interactions may increase the risk of side effects or reduce its effectiveness. One of the most dangerous interactions is with nitrate-based drugs such as nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate, or isosorbide mononitrate, commonly used for chest pain. Taking both together can cause a sudden and severe drop in blood pressure. Eriacta 100mg may also interact with alpha-blockers (like doxazosin or tamsulosin), used for high blood pressure or prostate problems, leading to dizziness or fainting. Certain antifungal medicines (ketoconazole, itraconazole), antibiotics (clarithromycin, erythromycin), and HIV protease inhibitors (ritonavir, saquinavir) can raise sildenafil levels in the blood, increasing the chance of side effects. Additionally, combining Eriacta with other ED drugs or recreational drugs like “poppers” can be unsafe. Patients should always inform their doctor about all medications they take before using Eriacta.
