cookie clicker is the ultimate "number go up" game. Released in 2013 by French developer Julien "Orteil" Thiennot, it effectively pioneered the incremental (or "idle") game genre that has since taken over mobile app stores.
The premise is deceptively simple: you click a giant cookie to earn one cookie. Eventually, you use those cookies to buy assets that bake cookies for you automatically.
