I'm currently in the UK, but a great work contract has come up in Australia for a couple of years, and I need to figure out what to do with my belongings. I’ve accumulated quite a lot of tech and specialized equipment here that you can’t just stuff into a suitcase. Selling everything here and then buying it all over again on the other side of the world seems like a questionable idea to me from a financial standpoint. How should I go about organizing this move?

I’ve already started looking into container shipping options, but I’m overwhelmed by all the paperwork. I’m particularly concerned about the safety of fragile items during such a long ocean voyage. I’d like to know how feasible it is to arrange door-to-door delivery.

Yeah, it’s quite a distance. Have you compared freight shipping rates? From my experience, I’d say it’s best to go with a trucking company. The truck will pull right up to your door, load your items, and deliver them to the destination. I think that’s the most convenient option. Check out the shipping to australia cost on the GetTransport website. I work in sales and often order goods. I’ve tried various delivery methods to find the optimal balance between speed and cargo safety. Road transport always wins out in terms of flexibility.
