I’ve been planning a Spiti trip and one thing that keeps coming up is acclimatization. Since it’s a high-altitude region, I’ve read that rushing the itinerary can cause serious issues.
While looking at different Spiti Valley Packages, I noticed that many of them mention “proper acclimatization” in their plans. But I’m not sure how effective that actually is in real scenarios. Do these packages genuinely pace the journey well, or is it just a marketing point?
For someone visiting for the first time, would following a structured plan be safer compared to a self-planned trip? I’m trying to understand if these packages actually reduce risk or if it depends more on how you personally handle altitude.
Would love to hear real experiences or tips from anyone who has already done this trip.
