I have a question that I hope someone can answer clearly for me. I drive a 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe that I bought second hand about six months ago. Lately the engine has been cranking slowly in the mornings and the battery warning light flickers sometimes when I first start the car. I think I need to replace the battery but I'm confused about what type to buy. I called a few battery shops in Abu Dhabi and some of them say I need an AGM battery which is more expensive, while others say a regular lead acid battery is perfectly fine for my car. I don't want to waste money on something I don't need, but I also don't want to damage my car by using the wrong battery. I was reading online about Chevrolet battery replacement and saw that some newer Chevy models with start-stop systems require AGM batteries because they handle repeated draining better. But my Tahoe doesn't have start-stop as far as I know. Does that mean a regular battery is okay? Also, how can I check what type of battery is currently in my car? Is there a label or something I should look for? I'm worried that if I buy the wrong type, either my car won't charge it properly or it will die again after a few months. Has anyone here replaced the battery on a similar year Tahoe and can tell me what they used and how it worked out? I'm in the Mohammed Bin Zayed City area so if you know a good shop that won't try to sell me something I don't need, please let me know. I just want a simple honest answer so I can get my car fixed without overthinking it visit here www.carbatteryreplacement-abu-dhabi.ae/chevrolet-battery-replacement/. Thank you.
