Faucets usually start leaking because of worn-out internal parts, especially the cartridge or washer. Over time, constant water pressure and usage can weaken these components.

Another common reason is poor-quality material. Cheaper faucets may look fine initially, but their internal parts wear out quickly. Hard water can also cause mineral buildup, which affects the sealing and leads to leaks.

Regular maintenance can help, but if the faucet is low quality, repairs might only be a temporary fix. In many cases, replacing it with a more reliable option is the better long-term solution.
