With so many online and hybrid dermatology fellowships available now, I’m trying to understand how effective they really are. On paper, they sound convenient because you can continue your job while studying, but I’m unsure about the practical side of things.
Dermatology is quite visual and procedural, so I feel hands-on exposure is important. Do these online programs actually include enough clinical training or case-based learning to make a difference?
If someone here has done an online or hybrid dermatology fellowship, did it actually help you in real clinical situations? Were you able to confidently diagnose and manage cases afterward, or did you feel the need for additional training?
