Guys, can you help me find CS 1.6 with an Italian localization? I'm studying Italian and trying to translate everything around me, including games. It would be cool to hear voice commands like "Go, go, go!" or "Fire in the hole!" in Italian, and reading the menu would help me memorize words. I tried searching for individual sound packs, but after installing them, the game either stops launching or gives an error when connecting to the server.

Also, will I get banned from regular servers for replacing the standard sound files? I’ve heard that some anti-cheat systems consider modifications to the original .wav files to be tampering with the game’s resources. Could you recommend a good source for downloading a database that can handle such modifications?

Hi, Learning through Counter-Strike is a great idea. However, you're right that old builds often crash when new sounds are added to the originals because the file checksums get messed up. You should check out the website, https://csget.me/ . There are a lot of different languages, but I don't think Italian voice acting will be available there. But, the client handles model or sound replacements pretty well though, and the anti-cheat systems on the servers won’t flag you for it. I've only tried changing models though. I don't know how it'll work with sounds.
