I wanted to ask for some advice because I think my Infiniti may be showing signs of a driveshaft issue, but I’m not fully sure. I’m hoping people here who have dealt with something similar can share their experience because I don’t want to ignore a problem that could become worse later.
Recently, I started noticing a strange vibration while driving. At first, I thought it was the road surface or maybe tire pressure, but it keeps happening even on smooth roads. The vibration seems more noticeable when driving at higher speeds. It is not extremely strong, but it feels different from how the car normally drives.
Another thing I noticed is an unusual noise from underneath the car. Sometimes I hear a clunking sound when shifting gears or pressing the accelerator. It does not happen every time, which makes it harder to understand what is causing it. A few people told me that noises like this can sometimes be related to the driveshaft or connected parts.
I also noticed that acceleration feels less smooth than before. The car moves, but sometimes it feels like power delivery is not as clean as it used to be. I started searching online and found that a damaged driveshaft can affect how power is transferred from the engine to the wheels.

Rough idling combined with the shaking at traffic lights does sound like classic injector deposit buildup, especially if it developed gradually over weeks. That pattern matches what you're describing closely. Worth getting checked before it affects performance further.

Fuel economy dropping while your driving habits stay the same is one of the clearest signs something's off with combustion efficiency. Dirty injectors spraying poorly is a common culprit for exactly that.

Had almost identical symptoms on mine, rough cold starts and noticeably worse fuel economy over about a month. Got injector cleaning done and the difference was immediate, smoother idle and acceleration response came back within the first drive. Cheaper fix than people expect too compared to other engine work. Would recommend getting it done before symptoms get worse rather than waiting.

Delayed acceleration response is something I'd get checked sooner rather than later, that can also point to other issues beyond just injectors. Good idea to get a proper diagnostic rather than assuming it's only one thing.

The good news is injector cleaning is usually one of the more affordable maintenance items compared to other engine concerns. If caught early it can prevent bigger problems down the line from prolonged dirty injectors. Definitely worth addressing now rather than waiting for it to get worse.
