Modula 5 mg interacts with nitrates whenever they are taken together, or within a short window of each other, because both strongly lower blood pressure. Modula 5 mg contains tadalafil, a PDE5 inhibitor used for erectile dysfunction and benign prostatic hyperplasia; nitrates (such as nitroglycerin, isosorbide mononitrate, and isosorbide dinitrate) are used for chest pain or heart?related angina.

When MODULA 5 MG is taken with nitrates (or even “popper”?style amyl?nitrite?type recreational drugs), the combined vasodilating effect can cause a sudden, dangerous drop in blood pressure, leading to severe dizziness, fainting, chest pain, or even heart?related complications.

Because of this, tadalafil (including Modula 5 mg) should not be used in people who are on any form of nitrate therapy; expert guidance from sources such as 1mg and Netmeds explicitly warns to avoid tadalafil if you are taking nitrates or have recently used them, and suggests a gap of up to at least 24–48 hours if a doctor still considers combined use in rare circumstances.

Always inform your doctor if you are on nitrates or any heart?related medicines before starting Modula 5 mg, and never self?adjust the timing or dose to “avoid” interaction.
