Okay so this might sound like a basic question but I genuinely could not find a clear answer anywhere so I thought I'd just post here and see if anyone with real experience can help me out. We recently took over a small storage facility in Sharjah and the previous owner had left behind some pretty worn out equipment including a couple of trolleys that are honestly barely functional at this point. One of the wheels on the main unit has completely seized and the lifting mechanism on the other one feels loose and unreliable which makes the guys nervous to use it with heavier loads. So we're basically starting fresh on the equipment side and I want to do it properly this time instead of just grabbing whatever is cheapest. I was looking at options online and came across crateco.ae which had a pretty solid range listed under their material handling section and it got me thinking more carefully about specifications because I realised I didn't actually know what separates a decent unit from a bad one beyond just the price tag. A neighbour who runs a trading company told me that a properly built hydraulic hand trolly should have a pump mechanism that stays smooth even after heavy daily use for at least a couple of years, but beyond that he couldn't really get into the specifics because he just orders through his operations manager and doesn't deal with it directly himself. What I'm trying to figure out is whether the frame material makes a significant difference, how important the wheel type is depending on your floor surface, and whether there are any specific things to check when a supplier says a unit is rated for a certain load capacity because I've heard those ratings can sometimes be a bit optimistic depending on the brand. Any practical advice from people who actually use this kind of equipment regularly would save me from making an expensive mistake.
