A neighbour in the Plateau wouldn’t stop laughing one evening while staring at his phone outside our apartment building. Eventually he admitted he’d been playing on Casino Montréal, so later that night I tried it myself. What caught my attention was how smooth the transitions between games felt without endless pop-ups interrupting everything. I jumped between blackjack and roulette while watching TV. The beginning felt cursed because almost every bet missed by the smallest margin possible. I was seconds away from quitting when one feature round suddenly changed everything. The strange part is I only planned to test it briefly and somehow stayed there until nearly 1 a.m.
