The Dollar Tree Compass Mobile app is not actually an app you download from the App Store or Google Play — it's a mobile-optimized website that runs in your phone's browser. There's no installation. You go to compassmobile.dollartree.com, log in with your employee credentials, and access your schedule, pay stubs, and HR tools from any phone or tablet. For a specific guide on checking your schedule through the portal, the dollar tree compass mobile schedule walkthrough covers that in detail. This article covers everything else — how to access the portal on your phone, what each feature does, why there's no downloadable app, and what to do when login isn't working.

Important: There Is No Downloadable Dollar Tree Compass Mobile App
Before anything else, this is worth being explicit about because it creates a lot of confusion. If you search for "Dollar Tree app" or "Compass Mobile app" in the App Store or Google Play, you will not find an official Dollar Tree employee app. Any app claiming to be the Dollar Tree Compass Mobile portal in an app store is unofficial — and potentially a security risk that could capture your employee login credentials.

Dollar Tree has not released a native app for iOS or Android. The Compass Mobile portal runs entirely through the web browser on your device. Open Chrome, Safari, or Firefox on your phone, navigate to compassmobile.dollartree.com, and the site loads in a mobile-friendly format that functions like an app even though it isn't one. Everything works through the browser — scheduling, pay stubs, time-off requests, shift swaps, direct deposit, company news.

Always access it through the official URL. Don't click links in emails or text messages claiming to take you to the portal unless you've verified the URL before entering your credentials.

How to Access the Compass Mobile Portal on Your Phone
Getting to the portal on a phone or tablet takes about thirty seconds:

Open any browser — Chrome, Safari, and Firefox all work. Chrome and Safari are the most consistently reliable.
Type compassmobile.dollartree.com directly into the address bar. Don't search for it and click a result — type it directly to ensure you're on the legitimate portal.
The login page loads. Enter your WFM Employee ID in the username field — this is your employee number, not your email address.
Enter your password and tap Login.
Your employee dashboard loads with access to all portal features.
Bookmark the URL the first time you use it. Typing it every time is inconvenient enough that it becomes a barrier, and a bookmark means one tap to get to the portal from your home screen.

If it's your first login, your WFM Employee ID and initial password were provided during onboarding. If you never received them or have forgotten them, your store manager is the quickest path to getting credentials — either directly or by escalating to HR. The Dollar Tree IT helpdesk is also reachable at 1-800-876-8077 for login-related issues.

What the Dollar Tree Compass Mobile Portal Actually Does
Once you're logged in, here's what each main section of the portal gives you:

Portal Section What It Does Where to Find It
Schedules / Clock-In Info View current and upcoming shifts, weekly hours, department assignments, and manager notes Main menu — select Clock-In Info or Schedules
Payroll / Pay Stubs View and download current and historical pay stubs, see payment dates, tax deductions, and earnings breakdown Main menu — select Payroll
Time Off Submit time-off requests for specific dates, view request status (pending, approved, denied) Main menu — select Time Off
Shift Swap Submit shift swap requests with a coworker, track pending and approved swaps Main menu — select Shift Swap
Direct Deposit Update bank account information for paycheck deposits — changes take effect within one to two pay cycles Payroll section — find Direct Deposit settings
Company News Company announcements, policy updates, promotions, and store-level communications from management Main menu — select News or Updates
Using Each Feature From Your Phone
Checking your schedule
From the dashboard, tap Clock-In Info or Schedules in the main menu. Your upcoming shifts appear with dates, start and end times, department assignments, and any manager notes. Schedules are typically posted by Monday for the following week — if the next week isn't visible by Monday, check back the following day or ask your manager when they typically post.

The mobile view shows the same schedule data as the desktop version, just in a vertically scrollable format. If you want to see multiple weeks at once or print your schedule, the desktop browser view at a laptop or computer gives a wider layout that's easier to read across a longer time range.

Downloading pay stubs
Tap Payroll from the dashboard. Your current and previous pay stubs are listed by pay period. Tap any pay stub to open it. From there you can view the details on screen — gross pay, deductions, net pay, year-to-date totals — or use your phone's share function to save a PDF copy or email it to yourself. This is the same system used for W-2 access at tax time, so it's worth bookmarking the payroll section specifically if you reference it regularly.

Submitting a time-off request
Use the Time Off section to submit requests rather than asking your manager verbally or by text. The portal creates a timestamped record of when you submitted the request and when the manager responded — which protects you if there's ever a question about whether a request was made or approved on time. Select your desired date or dates, add any relevant notes, and submit. You'll get a notification when the manager acts on the request.

Shift swapping
The Shift Swap section is where you formally submit a swap after finding a willing coworker. The critical thing to understand about how this works: a coworker verbally agreeing to take your shift doesn't count. The swap doesn't exist until it's submitted through the portal and approved by a manager. Don't assume a swap is confirmed until you see the manager approval notification — if you no-show based on a verbal agreement that was never officially processed, you'll be marked absent.

Updating direct deposit
Direct deposit changes are in the Payroll section. Enter your new bank routing number and account number. Changes typically take one to two pay cycles to take effect, so don't close your old bank account until the first paycheck has confirmed it went to the new account. If you make a change and the next paycheck still goes to the old account, that's normal — it takes a cycle to fully update.
