Vilitra 40 mg (vardenafil) leaves the body gradually, and most of it is eliminated within about 24 to 48 hours after a single dose. Here’s the breakdown in simple terms: The half-life of vardenafil is around 4 to 6 hours. This means the concentration in your blood reduces by half every few hours. After about 5 half-lives (roughly 20–30 hours), most of the drug is effectively cleared from the system. Small traces may still remain for up to 48 hours, depending on metabolism. Factors that affect how fast it leaves the body: Age: Older adults Vilitra 40 mg clear it more slowly Liver function: Liver impairment can significantly delay elimination Kidney function: Mild effect, but still relevant in severe conditions Dose: 40 mg is a high dose, so it may take slightly longer than lower strengths Other medications: Some drugs can slow down breakdown in the liver (CYP3A4 inhibitors) Important note: Even though the drug leaves the bloodstream within 1–2 days, its sexual effect lasts only about 4–6 hours, much shorter than its elimination time.
