Malegra DXT Plus can sometimes induce mild dizziness because it contains two active components: sildenafil (for erectile dysfunction) and duloxetine (used for premature ejaculation). Dizziness may occur due to the way these medicines affect blood vessels, the nervous system, and blood pressure regulation.
Mild dizziness is most likely to happen within 30 minutes to 4 hours after taking the tablet, which is the period when sildenafil reaches peak effect and blood vessel relaxation is strongest. During this time, a slight drop in blood pressure may occur, especially when standing up quickly, leading to lightheadedness.
Duloxetine can also contribute to dizziness by affecting serotonin and norepinephrine levels in the brain. When combined with sildenafil, the likelihood of feeling lightheaded may increase in sensitive individuals, particularly during the first few doses or when the body is still adjusting.
The risk becomes higher if Malegra DXT Plus is taken with alcohol, on an empty stomach with dehydration, or alongside blood pressure medications such as alpha-blockers. Sudden changes in posture (standing up quickly) can also trigger brief dizziness, known as orthostatic hypotension.
Most cases are mild and temporary, resolving as the medication wears off. However, if dizziness is severe, persistent, or accompanied by chest pain, fainting, or irregular heartbeat, medical attention should be sought immediately. Using the medication exactly as prescribed and staying hydrated can help reduce the chances of this side effect.
