I like to think I'm a fairly calm gamer.
I don't usually rage when I lose. I don't obsess over leaderboards. And I generally play games to relax rather than prove anything.
Then I play Agario.
For some reason, this simple browser game brings out a surprisingly competitive side of me.
What starts as a casual session often turns into a personal mission. Suddenly, I'm determined to become the biggest cell on the map. Every close escape feels important. Every mistake feels costly. Every opportunity looks like the beginning of a comeback story.
The funny part is that agario constantly reminds me that confidence and success can disappear in seconds.
And somehow, that's exactly why I keep playing.

A smaller player was moving directly in front of me.
The opportunity looked perfect.
I split confidently.
Unfortunately, I forgot to check the area behind them.

The smaller player escaped.
And my split cell landed directly inside a giant opponent.
It looked less like an attack and more like I had willingly offered myself as a snack.
I laughed so hard that I barely cared about losing.

Sometimes you'll spend several minutes near another player without attacking each other.
