Avana 100 mg (avanafil) should generally not be combined with other ED medicines such as tadalafil (Tadarise/Tadasoft), sildenafil (Viagra), vardenafil, or other PDE-5 inhibitors unless a doctor specifically tells you to do so. Taking two ED drugs together can increase the risk of side effects, including: A dangerous drop in blood pressure Dizziness, Avana 100 mg , or heart-related problems Severe headache, flushing, and rapid heartbeat Priapism (an erection lasting more than 4 hours, which needs urgent medical attention) Also, do not take Avana 100 mg with nitrate medicines (often used for chest pain, such as nitroglycerin) because the combination can cause a severe and potentially life-threatening fall in blood pressure. If you are considering switching between ED medicines (for example, from tadalafil to avanafil), the timing of the switch matters because some ED drugs remain active in the body for much longer than others.
