Vilitra 40 mg (vardenafil) can cause dizziness as a side effect, although it is not experienced by everyone. Because 40 mg is higher than the commonly prescribed maximum dose of vardenafil, the risk of side effects—including dizziness—may be greater, especially if taken without medical supervision. Dizziness may occur because vardenafil can: Lower blood pressure slightly by relaxing blood vessels. Interact with alcohol, which can further increase the risk of dizziness or lightheadedness. Have stronger effects when combined with certain medications, particularly alpha-blockers or blood pressure medicines. Vilitra 40 mg risk is higher if you: Drink alcohol before or after taking the medication. Become dehydrated. Stand up quickly from a sitting or lying position. Have naturally low blood pressure or certain heart conditions. Take medications that interact with vardenafil. If you feel dizzy: Sit or lie down until the feeling passes. Drink water if you're dehydrated. Avoid driving, operating machinery, or climbing until you feel normal again. Seek immediate medical attention if dizziness is severe, causes fainting, is accompanied by chest pain, difficulty breathing, or a prolonged erection lasting more than 4 hours. If you consistently experience dizziness with Vilitra, discuss it with your healthcare provider. They may recommend a lower dose or evaluate whether another ED treatment would be more appropriate.
