Vilitra (vardenafil) may be used by some people with controlled hypertension, but it should be taken only after checking with a doctor, particularly if you take blood-pressure medicines. Vardenafil can further lower blood pressure; studies found an average maximum reduction of about 7 mmHg systolic and 8 mmHg diastolic. D DailyMed +1 It is not recommended for Vilitra hypertension, specifically blood pressure above 170/110 mmHg, because of cardiovascular risks associated with sexual activity and the medicine's blood-pressure-lowering effects. D DailyMed Most importantly, do not use Vilitra with nitrate medicines such as nitroglycerin or isosorbide, because the combination can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Caution is also required with alpha-blockers and other antihypertensive medicines. A accessdata.fda.gov If you tell me your blood-pressure reading and the names/doses of your BP medicines, I can explain whether there are any important interactions to discuss with your doctor.
