The question of PT vs OT often comes up during rehabilitation. PT, or physical therapy, generally focuses on physical movement, strength, mobility, and balance. OT, or occupational therapy, focuses on helping people perform meaningful everyday tasks and activities. Both can be valuable. Very valuable. Imagine someone recovering after an injury: physical therapy may help improve their ability to walk, while occupational therapy may help them safely return to daily routines. The therapies are different but often complementary. A healthcare professional can recommend services based on the patient's condition and recovery goals. The right support depends on the person, not just the diagnosis.
