Quit wishin go fishin

Jul 24, 2009

The new moon has produced some great Striper action. In the Merrimack River we are seeing less 40 plus inch stripers however there are plenty in the 32" to 38" range fish beeing taken. Speckled Apron has been producing the 40" and over fish but I did get dogged out there one day last week and couldnt keep a bait in the water, but the dogs havnt been too bad. Ive been fishing tubes with worms dragged behind niner rigs on the troll at night and livelining mackeral during the day. Macks have been easy to find the last couple of days.

Tuna are on the rise and they've started taking the Slug-go's. A 92" fish was taken on a slug-go this week off of the Northwest corner of Stellwagen. Most of the fish this year have been in the 60" - 65" inch range.
