Build Your Own Striper Rod

Crossroads Bait and Tackle brings you the first class of its kind in this area. rod builder Michael Hogg will teach and walk you through the build of your own custom rod. Crossroads will provide you with all the tools necessary. At the end of the class you will have built your first rod. Only one thing beats fishing and that’s fishing with a rod your hands built.
We will start with a rod blank and you will learn how to
- Spline the blank for maximum performance
- Hand shape and install the butt-cap, the butt, and the foregrip.
- Install the reel seat with bushings
- Place and wrap all of the guides and tip
- Mix and apply epoxy
- I will also show you some beginner techniques to decorate and customize your rod.
- You will pick your own blank and color scheme and we can even put your name, your boats name, etc. right on your personalized rod.
- The classes are limited to 5 people per session so I will be able to give each person one on one instruction.
- Cost is $150 for one person Classes start in January and is a
$280 for a group of 2 great Christmas present.
